Correspondence, 1942-03 - 1942-12
Scope and Contents
Series One: Correspondence, 1932 – 1971
These documents are primarily related to Imm’s correspondence with constituents concerning various legislative issues such as daylight savings time, taxes, and numerous other important issues of the day. The few materials after 1965 are more personal than the documents preceding Imm’s leaving the State Senate.
Series Two: Congressional Records, 1933 – 1967
The congressional records contain information pertaining to Imm’s legislative committee assignments and other more general records. These records contain information on the debate over changing Mankato State College into Mankato State University, the Faribault Feebleminded School, and hearings on the physical condition of the Minnesota River. Furthermore, this series contains the minutes of meetings from numerous Senatorial committees and yearly bound reports for other committees. A vast majority of the items are from Imm’s years in the State Senate. Only a few documents are from Imm’s one term in the State House of Representatives.
Series Three: Miscellaneous, 1933 – 1974
This section contains various portraits of Imm at political events. One photograph contains a family portrait of the Imm family. Additionally, these documents contain a few of Imm’s speeches and newspaper columns, information on the Blue Earth County
Republican Party, photocopies of scrapbooks compiled by Imm during his legislative career, and information on the Blue Earth County Council on Intergovernmental Relations.
