This collection contains materials relating to the management of AAUW’s Mankato Branch. This includes documents of miscellaneous nature, programs and membership, scholarships and loans, and financial statements.

Folders cover special celebrations, meeting bylaws from various decades, programs and membership booklets and sheets, meeting announcements through multiple mediums, and colorful newsletters. Membership lists are broken into two parts: documents from 1959 to 2018 and membership records cards from 1918 to 1974. The supplementary remittance transmittal applications provide financial and membership records. History statements from various decades and keepsakes generated from officer and member participation are also included.

The Josephine Bowden Student Trust Fund is the predominant source for scholarships and loans. Records are divided into decades, extending from 1938 to 2018. Reports include bylaws, winning recipients, application forms, marketing, and additional correspondence. The 1970s to 1990s contain the highest density of documentation. A scholarship in partnership with the music department and a Community Dialogue grant can also be found.

Financial documents are contained in four ledger books reporting incomes, disbursements, budgets, saving and checking accounts, and financial reports from 1959 to 1984. Various monetary reports are found in treasurer’s records, budget, branch dues, bills, and other records, such as receipts, from 1971 to 2020. Also included are correspondence and records of donations to the association.
