This is a shared sub-series as Dr. Kessel and Dr. Miner-Kessel have equal involvement and have both contributed materials. Dr. Kessel passed away in 1987 of Leukemia. This series contains documents which follow the progression of his disease. There are letters to and from doctors, a diary that Dr. Abbas Kessel kept, and documentation of the remembrance efforts that his wife did much to advance. This series works to highlight the life of the scholar and the legacy he has left behind.
