This sub-series consists of both personal and professional letters to and from Dr. Kessel. The majority of the letters are correspondence between Dr. Kessel and media sources (newspapers, academic journals, and TV stations). Another part of this series is letters from friends and family dating back to the 1940s and 1950s. These letters go far beyond Dr. Kessel’s years at Minnesota State University and offer a great glimpse into his personal life. It includes letters from Dr. Kessel to Dr. Ruth Miner-Kessel before the couple got married on August 25, 1984.
