Abstract The Emma Gail collection contains a typed copy of a journal written during the Gail family's move from Waupan, Wisconsin to Mankato, Minnesota in 1855. The first section of the journal contains Gail's accounts concerning the family's trip to Mankato. The second half of the collection contains her description of Mankato and her life in 1881.
