This series contains pamphlets, newsletters, and books that were assigned to the publication named School Progress. Classes offered, program information, teacher information, school and campus life, and other facts about Mankato State College are what these issues cover. The collection is arranged by date and volume. The format and content of each publication varies.

Biographical / Historical

The School Progress pamphlets ran from 1919 until 1971 and were used to recruit students as well as inform them about classes and other campus activities. Despite the variety of formats and topics covered they were distributed as a series in order to keep costs down. This was due to the Post Office Appropriations Act of August 24, 1912. This is also why the series has volumes and numbers.

It is important to note that some issues of the undergraduate bulletin were also distributed under the name School Progress but are not related to this collection. They were labeled with this name to keep them under the series name and save money on postage.
