This collection has been processed into two series based upon the Mass Communication Department records and the records of the Media Day program. They are organized alphabetically first, and then chronologically by year.

Mass Communication Department records: This series contains material from 1972 to 2004, reflecting changes in Mass Communication courses and curriculum, scholarships, equipment requests, the Department name change, and the Communicator Newsletter from 1979 to 1999.

Media Day records: This series contains material regarding the Mass Communications Department annual Media Day program from 1972-1999. Correspondence, program notes, department memorandums, and media advertisements and brochures are included in the collection.
