Abstract

Institutional Research is a collection of the reports and data compiled by Institutional Research to better understand the campus and student body. The data includes enrollment reports, degrees conferred, program reviews, accreditation material and different surveys and studies of departments on campus between 1921 and present. This collection also contains information gathered from outside of the university to help show the composition of the student body.

Abstract

This collection consists of a family history compiled by Donald Force Jackson. The narrative focuses on the author’s parents, Raymond Jackson and Della Anne Force Jackson. Information on pioneer life in Mankato and River Falls, Minnesota, the Mankato Teachers College, Army life during World War II, and the Mankato Tire Company are all part of the booklet.

Abstract

The Library Services collection contains a variety of information produced by the library at Minnesota State University, Mankato and its employees since 1911, though most of the collection is dated from the 1970s to the present. The collection is primarily composed of meeting minutes and agendas, newsletters, correspondence, and photographs, although numerous miscellaneous materials related to the library are also present.

The Roy B. Moore collection consists of three audiocassettes and CD duplicates of the audiocassettes of an oral history interview conducted between Moore and Thomas Dahlen on 7, 8, and 12 March 1980. This interview covers Moore’s recollections of the roles and responsibilities of the teacher during the 1930s and 1940s and the effects of the Depression and World War II on the teacher and the community.

The Minnesota State University, Mankato Catalogue Collection consists of Undergraduate and Graduate catalogs, which describe departments, courses, and University procedures, dating back to the founding of the State Normal School. The publication name has changed over the years to Catalogs and are now called Bulletins. The Old Main Cornerstone Box collection consists of items taken from the cornerstone box in Old Main on the lower campus of Mankato State Normal School during its construction in 1869. The time capsule includes newspapers, business cards from local businesses, photographs, and university course offering catalogs. Additional items were added to the cornerstone box in 1923 and 1969.
